At "To Steki Mas", no table is set for one. It’s set for the whole group, for plates passed from hand to hand and for a carafe that somehow refills itself. On Vasileiou Fori Street in Kozani, we cook homemade meze, meat and seafood the way you’d eat them at home: generous portions, honest flavours, nothing fussy. Tsipouro and raki lead the way, with good wine close behind. The room is warm, the music keeps the evening moving, and when the weather allows, the outdoor tables fill up early.
At "To Steki Mas", a carafe never arrives alone. Each round reaches the table with its own meze, just as ouzeri tradition demands, and the conversation picks up from the very first clink of glasses. Tsipouro with or without anise, ice-cold raki, and the table decides when the next round comes.
Our meze are made fresh in our kitchen every day, with the care and flavours of a home-cooked table. Small plates go in the middle so everyone can try a bit of everything, in portions that fill you up but still leave you wanting more. It’s the way we like to eat: unhurried, with a fork in every dish.
